Colorable is more than a book. It's a real journey — lived by Chris Barbato — inside a Shiite Islamic country where everything was different. The language. The silence. The stares. The rules. The fear. The faith.
She faced cultural, emotional, and spiritual barriers most people can't imagine. Survival was the default. But she chose more — she chose to live, to rebuild, to root herself in a place no one would expect to grow.

About the Author

Chris Barbato has a dynamic career that spans multiple sectors and continents. With background in hospital administration and quality management, she has worked with major healthcare organizations such as Baxter International, specializing in ISO certification and operational excellence.

Her journey took a transformative turn in 2001 when she joined the ENI Group and moved to Iran, where she faced cultural and professional challenges, gaining invaluable experience in adaptability and resilience. She organized events, delivered lectures, and participated in diplomatic initiatives.

In the United States, where she lives, she expanded her expertise into business development, leading projects at CrossRoads Decopave in partnership with Ennis-Flint.

Her dedication to empowering others was evident in her work with organization focused on removing barriers to learning and as active member of Dallas Women Entrepreneurs (DWE) – in Texas.

Volunteering has always been an essential part of her journey. She supported the Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in Tehran and played an active role at the Brazilian Consulate in Houston during the 2018 elections.
